• What is WayFiS?
    • WayFiS is a personalized route finding service designed specifically for the seniors. WayFiS enables the users to create their personal profile by configuring their specific settings and parameters so that the route planning will be adapted to their needs. WayFis is available as web application for route pre-planning and as a mobile application for planning and navigation. You will be given the details of the route, together with the timings and schedule of the transportation means so that you can use them when travelling. The mobile application will assist you while travelling alerting when jump on and jump off the buses and assisting you when you change route. WayFiS will be your travel companion to support you while going outside.
  • Is WayFiS right for me?
    • If you want to be more independent and continue to stay active at your age, organize independently your trips and go to unknown cities, moving around with public transportation feeling healthy and safe, then WayFiS is right for you. It allows you to specify preferred transport modes and to specify particular Points of Interest that you would like to visit during your trip, like for instance restaurants, public toilets, etc…
  • What do I need to use WayFiS?
    • An email account.
    • To use WayFis web service you need a laptop with Internet Connection and then you have to use one of the following browsers:
      • Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or later version
      • Google Chrome 14.0 or later version
      • Opera 12.10 or later version
    • To use the mobile application, you will need a Smartphone with Android 2.2 with data connection (mobile data or WiFi).
  • How can I access WayFiS service?
    • You can access WayFiS web service, by clicking at theis link, from which you can register to the service and get access to the web pre-planning service. To register you will be asked to insert a username and a password for it. Then, to verify the registration you will have to go your email account and confirm the registration. For the mobile application, you can download the app from the WayFiS web service homepage or using this link and use the same account for using it or create one directly from the mobile application.
  • Which locations are currently covered by WayFiS?
    • Currently the following locations are covered by the application: Budapest in Hungary, Madrid and Badajoz in Spain and Geneva in Switzerland. The inclusion of additional European cities is planned by the next 6 months.
  • In which languages WayFiS is currently supported?
    • Currently the following languages are supported: English, Spanish and Hungarian.
  • What can I do with the web application?
    • After you have registered to the service, and logged in with the specified credentials, you can set up your personal preferences for travelling, plan a new route and review stored favorite routes as well as favorite personal places, so that you can review the saved routes at your convenience and you can print them for your convenience. You can plan the routes with different settings and then save the favorite one to your list. The routes will be displayed on a big map allowing you to revise the steps beforehand and get familiar with the travel details.
  • What can I do with the mobile application?
    • Upon login to the service, the mobile application allows to review and edit the personal preferences as well as reviewing the personal points of interest and the saved routes. Then, when you start your trip the application will support you during the navigation where you could see in the map your current position and the route and steps you have to perform. The navigation will support also changes of routes and deviations from the planned route and includes also voice guiding.
  • How can I be informed on the updates of the service?
    • You can visit our webpage to see latest news about the service or you can subscribe to our newsletter.
  • How can I remove my profile?
    • From the personal settings page of the web service and mobile application you can remove your account. All the data associated to the user will be deleted. You will have to create a new one to continue using the service.
  • What use is made of my personal data?
    • WayFiS places great emphasis on the protection of user’s privacy and personal data. Particular care is given to this aspect within the context of the usage of the mobile application. We adhere to data protection policies and regulations concerning the protection of data in telecommunications and services according to the European Directives: please find more information on Terms and Conditions.
    • We adopt data protection and privacy policies by means of implementation of technological solutions for authentication and authorization to access data as well as usage of secure connections that prevent loss, and access by unauthorized users.
